Molybdenum Alloys

Example of stamped metal using a forging die made from MT-104. Developed by GTP, MT-104 is a powder-metallurgical alloy used in high temperature applications that require greater hardness and strength than unalloyed molybdenum.  The addition of titanium, zirconium and carbon combine to create an alloy with more robust characteristics than molybdenum alone.  Resulting from our powder-metallurgy expertise, there are three significant advantages to using GTP MT-104, 1) lower cost to produce, 2) elimination of the need for preliminary metalworking due to sintered grain structure, and 3) homogeneous composition.
