Molybdenum Powders
From its humble beginnings as support wire for incandescent light bulbs, molybdenum has come a long way. Molybdenum is still used in light bulbs but is also used in furnace elements and parts; as catalysts in the petroleum and plastics industries; as a lubricant; in spray powders offering corrosion resistance and even in the nuclear energy industry. GTP molybdenum powders can be used as a raw material in each of these applications.
With the ability to run both Ammonium Dimolybdate (ADM) and Pure Molybdenum Oxide (PMO) GTP has a very flexible front end to our molybdenum process. We offer two standard types of moly powders, type 290 which has a purity of 99.9% and type 490 with a purity of 99.5%.
