Tina Picket presents a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives

A family picnic with fun activities for children and family tours of the facility was a thank you to employees, families and community for their support with the 10 years with the Plansee Group and 102 years of manufacturing.

State Representative Tina Pickett helped to mark this special occasion with a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives which read in part, Global Tungsten & Powders (GTP) Corporation is being congratulated upon the momentous occasion of its 102 anniversary and lauded as one of the largest producers of ammonium paratungstate (APT), GTP has a long history of manufacturing tungsten chemicals, refractory powders and parts.
In 2008, it was purchased by the Plansee Group, which has made a significant investment in GTP during past 10 years, including a major expansion of the APT plant to increase capacity of more than 15 percent and the transfer of a new production to the facility. The company recently acquired Tikomet in Finland, which has allowed GTP to expand its portfolio to the widest range of tungsten products and recycling solutions available in the industry. Since its inception, GTP has maintained a tradition of excellence, remaining responsive to the ever-changing needs and interests of the community it serves. It's steady progress is a tribute to key leaders and dedicated employees who have carried it to its present heights and built a foundation for a bright future. Hard work, ingenuity and collaboration are the values of GTP and its people. As GTP looks to the future, it thanks those in the past that lead the way to the present.
A well attended event.
