GTP's Vice-President Stacy Garrity elected as Pennsylvania State Treasurer

GTP colleagues worldwide congratulate Stacy on her successful run for public office

The entire management team as well as all GTP colleagues worldwide join in to congratulate Stacy Garrity, currently Vice-President Government Affairs & Industry Liaison, on her victory after running for office as Pennsylvania State Treasurer. This is the first time someone has defeated an incumbent in a PA statewide race since 1996.

“I’m truly honored by the faith Pennsylvanians have placed in me, and I promise not to let them down,” Stacy Garrity said. “As treasurer, I will focus on holding government accountable for all taxpayers and making sure the treasurer’s office works for all Pennsylvanians, regardless of party.”

Stacy will be sworn in January 19, 2021 and will continue working with GTP until then.

Stacy Garrity started working at GTP’s headquarters (Osram at that time), in Towanda, in 1987. She holds a degree in finance and economics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a certificate from the Cornell University Business Management Institute. During her career at GTP she worked her way up through several positions, becoming Vice-President of two of GTP’s three Business Units.

Stacy Garrity also is a 30-year military veteran who served three deployments to Iraq. She was awarded the Bronze Star twice and received the Legion of Merit before retiring from the Army Reserve with the rank of Colonel. Stacy's service brought her to national attention for her stellar record overseeing an Iraqi internment camp.

Stacy’s contributions for Global Tungsten & Powders will be missed greatly. We wish Stacy continued success, all the best for her future role and are proud that Stacy was elected to serve the Pennsylvanian public.
