Coronavirus - GTP's Updated Response

No effect of the Coronavirus on GTP’s delivery capability

November 20, 2020

We kindly ask customers and business partners to consult their respective contacts within our organization before scheduling any visits. The employee hosting the visitor must have approval from a member of GTP's general management team and GTP's medical department, as only critical visitors are permitted at this time.
Additionally, as of November 20, 2020, all out of state visitors need to have a COVID test 72 hours prior to the visit and have the results available upon arrival. For our Towanda location, please acknowledge that visitors and employees will need to go through a temperature screening process and will be asked the following questions:

1. Have you travelled outside Pennsylvania?
2. Have you had contact in the past 14 days with a person who has been in a high risk area and/or shows symptoms of illness?
3. Do you have any of the following symptoms/combinations?

• Fever or chills
• Fever in combination with cough
• Fever in combination with shortness of breath
• Sore throat
• Diarrhea
• Muscle aches
• Loss of taste or smell

If the visitor is feeling well, and if the answers to the questions are no, and if the screening reports a temperature lower than 100.4, the visitor is permitted into the facility.

For details on the procedures at our locations in Finland and the Czech Republic, please refer to your respective contacts. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

For Pennsylvania, where our headquarters are located, Governor Tom Wolf ordered closure of Non-Life-Sustaining businesses effective March 19th, 2020, 8 p.m.

Based on the issued exemption list, GTP continues to operate 24 hours, seven days per week. All our manufacturing locations, also in Finland and the Czech Republic are considered as essential contributors to the infrastructure, according to local authorities.

While the health and safety of our employees and our community is our top priority, GTP acts accordingly to all recommendations of the local government and health authorities. At this time, GTP has placed all non-essential workers on telework, eliminated all overseas and domestic travel, all customer and vendor visits have been cancelled, and we’ve instituted a policy of social distancing, staggered shifts, and increased cleaning and disinfecting of work areas.

Daily, we assess the dynamic situation, evaluate the effectiveness of our measures, enact new measures and monitor the strength of our supply chain.

No positively tested infection case is reported from any of our facilities in the United States, Finland, or the Czech Republic.

GTP’s ability to deliver is not affected. We will inform you immediately if any interference emerges.

February 6, 2020

The outbreak of this respiratory illness was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, and has resulted in thousands of confirmed cases in China, including cases outside of Wuhan City.

One of GTP’s main business principles is security of raw material supply independent of China.

The present state of this outbreak has no impact on any of our manufacturing routines, neither provides any disruption to our raw material supply chain.

You can rely on GTP’s ability to deliver through this outbreak and beyond.

Global Tungsten & Powders with all its employees hope for a fast containment of the illness in China and worldwide as well as for a fast recovery for all infected.
